Blue Green Algae for Body Alkalinity

Blue green algae like spirulina is another alkaline food for body alkalinity and it contains an ample amount of chlorophyll.

And chlorophyll has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.  Blue green algae has one of the highest percentages of chlorophyll of any food on the planet.

Chlorophyll is often referred to as the blood of a plant and it has the ability to purify your blood.

And the chlorophyll molecule found in blue green algae such as spirulina has something in common with the hemoglobin molecule in your blood.

They have the same geometry - which is 12 atoms surrounding a central 13th atom.  And the central atom in chlorophyll is magnesium and in hemoglobin the central atom is iron.

Blue green algae like spirulina is a rich source of digestible protein.  However, it can not really replace the protein found in animal foods.

This type of blue green algae can be a great source of important alkalizing minerals like magnesium and will qualify as a high alkaline food.
