Flax Seed Oil Benefits
and Flax Lignans
Flax seed oil benefits include having some of the highest amounts of Alpha-linolenic acid or ALA an omega 3.
However, pure flax seed oil does not contain flax lignans which are found in the whole seed.
Flax lignans are known for their incredible antioxidant capabilities and
flax seeds contains some of the highest amount of lignans.
Flax seed oil benefits and the benefits of flax lignans are used as part of the Budwig Protocol created by Dr. Johanna Budwig who helped numerous people cure and detox their bodies.
The Budwig Protocol has helped cancer, irregular heart beat, arthritis, psoriasis, eczema, diabetes, and ulcers to name a few health problems addressed by using this protocol.
Dr. Johanna Budwig was a very respected researcher from Germany and was nominated about 6 times for a Nobel Prize in medicine.
She is known for curing cancer of all types using only non-toxic and relatively cheap ingredients.
The Budwig Protocol
The Budwig Protocol Flax Seed Muesli:
- 7 Tbsp. of Non-homogenized Quark Cheese or Whole Yogurt (preferably raw grass fed)
- 3 Tbsp. Non-homogenized (cream-line) Whole Milk (preferably raw grass fed)
- 3 Tbsp. Cold-pressed Organic Flax Seed Oil (not rancid please!)
Blend for about 1 minute or until the oil is well combined with the dairy.
- 1 tsp. Raw Honey and 2 Tbsp. Freshly Ground Brown or Golden Flax Seeds
- In-Season Mixed Organic Fresh Fruits
Combine everything together in a bowl or make a smoothie - top with Organic Nuts if you desire.
This is Very Important!
Part of her protocol is based on lipids or fats being water-soluble and available when
they are bound to a sulfur protein.
You can also use raw goat cheese instead of non-homogenized quark cheese or whole yogurt.
Raw quark has the high quality sulfur proteins
needed to bind perfectly with flax seed oil which contains electron rich fatty acids.
This binding allows the flax seed oil to become water soluble which helps it enter into a cell more easily to supply it with energy.
According to Dr. Budwig you need these proper functioning
Essential Fatty Acids at the cellular level or your cells will not
absorb enough oxygen from your bloodstream.
Oxygen starved cells will mutate to survive and this can lead to cancer.
The Budwig flax seed muesli can be used once a week as a preventive.
This way, you will be able to receive the benefits of lignans along with a better way to receive flax seed oil benefits.
Dr. Johanna Budwig was a cancer researcher who was considered one of the world's top authorities on fats and oils.
She stated that what we need are electron rich highly-unsaturated fats or polyunsaturated fats in order to function properly.
And these electron rich fatty acids aid with the recharging of a living entity.
These polyunsaturated or unsaturated fatty acids also really help to support your brain and nervous system.
The breakdown of flax seed oil benefits will occur within 15 minutes of being exposed to heat, air, and light.
Therefore, it may be more practical to buy flax seed oil in light-resistant capsules and puncture the capsules to squeeze out the oil right before mixing.
Otherwise, you will have to use a bottle of flax seed oil within 24 hours after opening to prevent the oil from becoming rancid.
Also, use only freshly ground flax seeds with this protocol.
Highest in Alpha-Linolenic Acid
The ratio present in flax seed oil is about 4 to 1 in favor of the omega 3 fatty acids.
Therefore, consuming flax seed oil could contribute to keeping your Omega 3 and Omega 6 ratios in balance.
As omega 6 dominates in most diets. Omega 3 is an important component of almost all cell membranes and plays a very important role in reducing inflammation.
Flax Seed Oil Benefits:
- Helps Skin Problems
- Protects Against Cancer
- Helps Lower Cholesterol
- Helps With Inflammation
- Grows Healthy Hair and Nails
- Helps with Depression
- Lessens Menstrual Problems

Flax seed oil is a very rich source of Alpha-Linolenic Acid or ALA which belongs to the Omega-3 fatty acids family.
Flax seed oil also contains the essential fatty acid Omega 6.
Fortunately, flax seed oil benefits include quite a bit more omega 3 than omega 6.
Each Tablespoon of flax seed oil contains 7 to 8 Grams of ALA Omega 3.
Flax Lignans will be found in the whole flax seed. Flax seeds have been found to contain 100-800 times more lignans than any other food source.
Flax Lignans are a potent antioxidant which have
anti-tumor, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal properties.
They are known for helping with hormone related conditions, hair
loss, and cancer.
Flax Lignans Support:
- Your Immune System
- Healthy Hair
- Cardiovascular Health
- Better Digestion
- Blood Sugar Regulation
- Hormone Regulation
Lignans in flax seeds have also shown to reduce atherosclerotic plaque buildup.
1 Tablespoon of ground flax seeds contains about 1.8 Grams of Omega 3.
